This is not the year we try to feel better


Hey Reader,

As we set intentions for 2026, I want to name something plainly.

This is not the year we “try” to feel better.
This is the year we decide that our bodies are not collateral damage.

When I shared the poll about what you’re prioritizing most in the year ahead, the message was loud and clear.

Health came first.

Not because you’re vain.
Not because you’re giving up on ambition.
But because your body has been carrying too much for too long.

And I need you to hear this in the same fire I’m entering this year with.

Fire doesn’t ask permission.
It doesn’t negotiate with what’s expired.
It clears the land so life can return stronger.

That’s the energy we need for our health in 2026.

Too many of us have been surviving inside bodies that are signaling distress while we keep saying, “I’ll deal with it later.” Later after the deadline. Later after the promotion. Later after the kids are settled. Later after the dust clears.

But midlife teaches you something sharp and undeniable.

Later is not guaranteed.
And pushing through is not strength.

When nearly half of this community says feeling healthier in their body is the top priority, that tells me we are done romanticizing exhaustion.

We are done calling chronic stress normal.
We are done pretending hormonal shifts don’t affect how we think, feel, sleep, work, and show up.
We are done building big lives on shaky foundations.

Here’s the truth I want you to sit with as you write your intentions.

Health is not something you add on once everything else is handled.
Health is what makes everything else possible.

Your finances suffer when your body is depleted.
Your work suffers when your brain is foggy and inflamed.
Your stress multiplies when your nervous system never gets relief.

This is why setting health intentions in 2026 requires fire.

Fire to stop minimizing symptoms.
Fire to stop gaslighting yourself.
Fire to stop accepting systems that were never built to care for you anyway.

And let me say this clearly.

Prioritizing your health does not mean you are slowing down.
It means you are finally moving with integrity.

So instead of asking, “What should I be doing for my health this year?”
I want you to ask something more powerful.

What am I no longer willing to carry in my body?

What compromises did I accept in 2025 that cost me sleep, peace, clarity, or vitality?
What warnings have I ignored because stopping felt inconvenient?
What would change if I treated my body like a partner instead of a machine?

That’s where real intention begins.

We are not tiptoeing into 2026.
We are not whispering our needs.
We are not apologizing for choosing ourselves.

Fire clears.
Fire heals.
Fire makes room.

And this year, we are letting it do its work.
